The Peplum are returned and dominated the catwalks for spring / summer in New York, Milan, Paris and London. For those who do not know the ”Peplum” is a flounced positioned between the waist and hips, any extra volume can be considered ”Peplum”. But surely the fashion is for all tastes, such as blouses, skirts/dresses, mild or marked, according to the material and by the modeling of the peplum.
I love to see how trend goes and come and becomes a trend again, peplum is a great example, appeared around the 40′s and was immortalized in 1947 by Christian Dior in her first collection.
Check it out below for photos of celebrities, models and anonymous that are rocking with peplum and be inspired!

When I was searching to do this post I could see the back of peplums is a fever over the world, certainly gives an air of femininity and sophisticated women, and the part I liked the most in this trend has been to generate curves mark the waist and extend the hip. But be careful to do a lot of volume, let your hips even higher and for those with wide hips need attention to peplum.

The peplum can mark your belly, look for a model that is not so structured and tight. If the trim is more vertical, the visual result will be lighter. When stitched crimp without the peplum tends to be run as a frill, whereas the folds create diagonal lines, which generate a less romantic and modern.

For those slim and/or no curves can wear without fear both the upper and lower. Just remember that the part used in the lower portion, is skirt, pants or shorts should not have volume in the hip region, as the peplum generates volume.

TIPS
- There are numerous variations to the modeling of the peplum. Parts with volume topping or higher, works well in women hip Strait, who want to enhance (or enhance) the region. But for a sophisticated, it is important that the length of the part is slightly larger. A short peplum may bode well for those who want to stretch your legs, especially if combined with tapered or straight pants.
- For those with a few extra pounds, according to experts is recommended to use a dark color and try to use a peplum with less layers and more discreet.
- For the incredibly low, the tip is to invest in monochromatic looks. “If there is a sharp contrast between one part and another, the other will cut peplum silhouette, giving the impression that the person is even lower,”
How to combine? The peplum attracts attention by itself. If you want to highlight the frill of the peplum, the ideal is that the other parts look to be more discreet. But it also gives another element to play with fancy as deep neckline, bow tie on her blouse, flashy pattern … Both examples can match.
P.S. Anyway, the feminine touch of this trend is essentially elegant, definitely worth the risk for a glam and sophisticated look. Great alternative for those women who love a classic femininity with a touch of sensuality.
